Tata Beraia is a graduate student of the Public Policy program at Central European University. Her research interests include hybrid regimes, corruption and development in Eastern Europe as well as external relations of the European Union. In her Master’s thesis she is going to study mechanisms behind the subversion campaign of the latest election in Georgia. She is curious to explore the driving forces of autocratic power across the world and tools of strengthening democratic institutions. Her Bachelor’s degree is in Journalism, and she worked as a correspondent in “Radio Free Europe” covering political oppressions in Russia, international affairs and conflicts (war in Ukraine, Georgian-Russian relations, etc.).
