Ádám Csobánci is a Master’s student in Conflict and Peace Studies at the University of Cyprus. He obtained his Bachelor’s degree in International Relations in Budapest. In his Master’s thesis, he examines the academic perspectives of International Relations on the development of the EU’s security and defense policy in response to Russia’s war against Ukraine. At oiip, Ádám supports Dr. Loic Simonet in research on the European security architecture, the EU’s geopolitical role as a security provider, and Private Military and Security Companies (PMSCs). His further academic interests include Arctic geopolitics, postcolonial international relations, the Common Security and Defense Policy (CSDP), and NATO-EU relations.
